    Description: WINTER WARMUP SINGING WORKSHOP

Warm up this Winter with our 2 week singing workshop

Do you love to sing?   Would you like to learn more about your singing voice and harmony singing?  Do you want to meet new people and have fun?   Now is your chance!

Join us for a 2 week workshop where we will learn and perform a song together.   Open to women aged 16 and over.
No prior musical training is needed - all learning materials and plenty of fun will be provided.

    Monday 27 June 6.45 - 9.00pm and Monday 4 July 7.00 - 9.00pm

Registration is $10 and includes access to sheet music and audio learning tracks, as well as supper both weeks.

Participants from this workshop will also have the opportunity to perform the song with the Chorus at the Bathurst Winter Festival on the evening of Monday 11 July.

To register - please click on BUY TICKETS icon above (payment at the door - eftpos available)

Caution - as singing is a higher risk activity for the spread of Covid-19, anyone participating in chorus workshops needs to be up to date with their Covid-19 vaccinations.

Before registering - choose which vocal part you'd like to try by using these samples of Happy Birthday.   Sing along with each one to decide which range is most comfortable for your voice.

Sample 1 - if this is your preference, you would be in the Tenor part
Sample 2 - if this is your preference, you would be in the Bass part
Sample 3 - if this is your preference - make your choice of the following:
If you like to play with harmonies when you are singing other songs, you would be in the Baritone part
If you prefer to stay on the main melody when you are singing other songs, you would be in the Lead part

    ACCESS THE SAMPLES HERE

If you've previously sung in SSAA or SATB choirs - these are the general equivalents to help you choose your vocal part:
    High 1st sopranos - Tenor
    Lower 1st sopranos/2nd Sopranos - Lead
    Altos - Baritone
    Low Altos/Tenors - Bass
